Description
We are excited to invite you to a webinar to celebrate the launch of a new BMJ Collection on Nourishing South Asia: Targeting the Triple Burden of Malnutrition of Adolescent Girls. This new BMJ Collection of 6 analytical papers offers a comprehensive exploration of adolescent girls' nutrition across the South Asia region, addressing its burden, determinants, and broader policy and programming landscape. It delves into the legal and commercial drivers influencing nutrition and underscores the importance of adolescent girls’ participation in challenging systemic exclusion and gender norms. Additionally, it examines how their digital interactions with food environments shape nutrition practices, offering valuable insights into the multifaceted factors affecting their health and nutrition. The BMJ Collection has been a collaborative endeavour of UNICEF Regional Office of South Asia in collaboration with the Global Centre for Preventive Health and Nutrition at Deakin University in Australia, along with national academics and UNICEF offices across eight countries of the region.
