Financing and Sustainability of Social Protection Interventions: Sailing through Covid-19 Pandemic: “How can Social Protection Programmes ably respond and Sustain their Support for Vulnerable Groups?”
The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection - State Department of Social Protection in conjunction with the National Social Protection Secretariat established the Community of Practice Kenya Chapter for Social Protection with a view to exchanging knowledge amongst key Social Protection Practitioners throughout the globe. The CoP(K) has been a platform for social protection practitioners to learn, share and bridge the existing gaps in the social protection sector.

The National Social Protection Secretariat together with the Community of Practice Kenya Chapter organizing committee is happy to invite you to the upcoming webinar on Financing and Sustainability thematic area with a special topic of ''Sailing through COVID-19 pandemic: “How can Social Programmes ably respond and Sustain their support for Vulnerable Groups” on Thursday 2nd September 2021 starting from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. This Webinar is designed to be a panelist discussion that will cover three special topics which are: 1. Addressing pertinent issues affecting children during the COVID-19 in specific reference to Strengthening Social Protection interventions, 2. Sailing through COVID-19 Pandemic: Food or Voucher what are the advantages/disadvantages, 3. Using COVID-19 as an opportunity: how the pandemic provided entry points for new vulnerable groups towards accessing integrated Social Protection measures – a short and long-term perspective. The Webinar is part of a running series. The Chief Guest will be the Principal Secretary for the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection- State Department of Social Protection.
The NSPS has arranged panelists from different sectors to focus on the topic. You are requested to register for the webinar before 10.00 am on 2nd September 2021 and be part of the conversation.
